FAQs

  • Our first session is used to gather information and collaboratively decide if there’s a good fit for future sessions. I’ll gather information about your history, current problems, and your goals for therapy. During this process, I’m working to determine if I’m able to help you and begin to put together a plan for our work together. How much you share during the first session is up to you. It’s completely acceptable for a client to let me know they’re not comfortable discussing a topic yet. This is also a time for you to ask questions and decide if you think I’m a good fit for you. The first session usually goes really quickly and it’s completely fine if not everything gets covered or if you forget to ask a question or share some information. If you choose to return for more sessions, we can pick up where we left off. If you decide there’s not a good fit, I’m happy to provide referrals to other trusted providers.

  • The fee for an individual 45-minute session is $200. Couple and Family sessions are 60 minutes and $235. Please reach out if you’d like to discuss a sliding scale fee.

  • Blue Bridge Therapy does not participate with any insurance companies. Those with out of network mental health service benefits may receive some reimbursement. The best way to determine if you might receive reimbursement is to call your insurance company directly. A superbill can be provided to make submitting for reimbursement as stress free as possible.

  • Frequency of sessions depends on individual factors and is ultimately determined together between client and therapist. Most commonly, clients begin therapy on a weekly schedule. This frequency allows for us to build momentum and consistency toward meeting your goals. Often, clients decrease frequency once skills are developed during a maintenance phase before terminating treatment.
